Is it possible to visit the Coastguard centre?
For members of the participating ministries and organizations, it is possible to visit the Coastguard centre under limited and special conditions.

Can I become pilot on the Coastguard aircrafts?
The Netherlands Coastguard does not hold own maritime and aeronautical assets. Pilots for the Dornier aricrafts are delivered by The Royal Netherlands Air Force. Observers are from Customs, Royal Military Police or Directorate General for Public Works and Water Management. For Search and Rescue helicopters are used from the Ministry of Defence and Bristow Helicopters. For functions of pilot or observer, please apply to the above mentioned departments or organizations.

Can I work on a Coastguard vessel?
As mentioned above The Netherlands Coastguard does not hold own maritime and aeronautical assets. The Coastguard patrol vessels are owned by the Governmental Shipping Company of the Directorate General for Public Works and Water Management. The Emergency Towing Vessel is owned and manned by Svitzer Salvage in Ijmuiden. Please apply to the above mentioned departments or organizations for jobs.
